Sha studied architecture before working at Stamen Design on projects for clients like MTV, CNN, Flickr, and Adobe. After Stamen, Sha cofounded Movity, which explored visualization and mapping for apartment hunting and was acquired by real estate startup Trulia. At Trulia, Sha was responsible for various mapping projects visualizing crime, school, and commute time information. Since leaving Trulia, Sha has been working as a free agent and advising small data-driven startups, as well as building Gifpop and Meshu with his partner Rachel Binx. Sha is endlessly fascinated by data, design, fabrication, and cities.
